It’s Knights versus Royals

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: Kolkata Knight Riders, after a poor performance in the first half of the IPL, took the stage by storm. They defeated top teams such as Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and five time champions Mumbai Indians. While they choke in some of the winning matches, but due to their better net run rate, they were unmovable from the 4th spot.
Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, have undergone a sluggish season. There is no consistency. In one match they are winning by 8 wickets, the next match they lose by 10 wickets. They are well and truly out of the season but can very well play the role of party spoilers.
KKR and MI now remain in contention for the fifth spot as they both stand in contention with 12 points each. If KKR wins by a big margin it will become really difficult for MI to qualify. But there is some good news from the KKR camp. Andre Russell and Lockie Ferguson stepped up to the field on Tuesday and hoping to make it to the playing XI on the clash between RR and KKR today.
