Christiano Ronaldo’s Portugal will have to recover their intensity and hunger to beat Kylian Mbappe’s France. Portugal lost their previous game to Germany in a 4-2 encounter. Ronaldo played well but his team conceded two own goals which lead to a disappointing loss.
France on the other hand are facing some problems despite sitting as leaders of Group F. Their strikes are not firing. Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Karim Benzema have only found the nets once so far. Benzema is failing to score repeatedly.
Monday’s result mean the holder’s only need to draw against France to clinch their place in the last 16 while they could qualify with a defeat, just as long as Hungary do not beat Germany in the other Group F game.
