T20 World Cup starts with a bang

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: There could not have been a better way to start the tournament. With low scoring to small target chase, it is already evident that the tournament will going to be a thriller. In the first match, Australia defeated South Africa and defending champions, West Indies fell like a palace of cards against England.
In the tournament opener, Australia faced South Africa, who scored a paltry team total of 118 runs. Hazelwood, Cummins and Adam Zampa bowled with good line and length which restricted them to a below average total. David Warner and Aaron Finch though faltered, but Steve Smith and Marcus Stoinis got them over the line. South Africa tok bowled well and they have done well to try to defend the total but all went in vain.
On another match, West Indies faced England. The defending champions fell like a hay of cards as only Chris Gayle, only, went to double figures. The score card of West Indies team looked like a phone number (3, 6, 13, 9, 5, 1, 6, 0, 6, 0, 3). The likes of Russell and Pollard failed to score runs. England bowled well with 2 wickets each for Moen Ali and Tymal Mills. Adil Rashid took 4 wickets. Woakes and Jordan took 1 wicket each. England won the game by 6 wickets with Jason Roy leading from the front.
Third game of the tournament will be a thriller as arch rivals, India and Pakistan will face each other today for the sixth time.
