Virat Kohli’s IPL dream over

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: Virat Kohli, now the former captain of RCB, failed to win atleast 1 IPL trophy . It seems he is not made for IPL trophy. But good news for KKR, they qualify for Qualifier 2 against DC, which is to be played on 13th of October in Sharjah.
A big question aroused in the beginning of the match as to why Virat Kohli opted to bat after winning the toss, in a sluggish pitch. Though they started well, but as the wicket of Padikkal was taken, everyone looked unsettled. Glenn Maxwell, the “Big Show”, failed to get some runs.
Sunil Narine was totally unplayable as he routed through the RCB’s batting order. He took 4 big wickets, which changed the dynamics of the game, viz – Kohli, S Bharat, Maxwell and ABD. Speedster Lockie Ferguson took 2 wickets, restricting RCB to 138 runs.
As for the chase, Subhman Gill and V Iyer looked promising as they added 41 runs in the powerplay, before Gill goes out just before the end of powerplay. KKR were under pressure in the middle overs as the run rate fell and Tripathi and Iyer lost their wickets.
Eon Morgan, played his trump card and sent Sunil Narine even before DK. It turned out to be the turning point of the game as he practically turned the game upside down. He strikes 3 sixes in an over of Dan Christian, who gave 22 runs in an over.
The match went into the last over. Shakib al Hasan, played a classing lap shot to hit a four of the second ball and took KKR over the line. They achieved the target with 2 balls to spare. Sunil Narine was awarded Man of the Match for his breathtaking performance.
