A search of Tanore Upazila Health Complex revealed that in the last one week, 25 children have been treated at the Upazila Health Complex for various cold-related ailments including diarrhea. With the onset of winter, patient pressure has increased in various clinics including Upazila Health Complex.
Banabas Hasdak, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, said patients were coming to the hospital with cold-related illnesses as the winter intensified. Especially the number of patients suffering from diarrhea, cough, cold and respiratory problems is high.
According to the Charghat Upazila Health Complex, 124 diarrhea patients were admitted to the health complex last December. In the last 7 days, 51 people have been treated for diarrhea, most of them children.
Rabiul Islam of Helalpur village in Bagha upazila, who came for treatment at the health complex, said he had been suffering from vomiting and diarrhea for two days. Admitted here on the advice of a doctor. You are relatively well now.
Upazila Health Complex Residential Medical Officer (RMO) said. Shahidul Islam Robin said that with the onset of winter, many patients are coming to the hospital suffering from cold. Children in particular are more prone to diarrhea. Rotavirus infection has increased the incidence of diarrhea in children. However, the supply of cholera saline in the hospital is adequate.
