Rashid, Mujeeb spins out the Scots

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: Afghanistan started on a high note as they destroyed Scotland by 130 runs . Scotland had ensured their place in the main event by winning all the matches in qualifiers. But Scotland got a reality check as to how difficult games are in the main event. Scotland succumbed to Afghans from the beginning of the match.
After opting to bat first, Afghanistan started on a high note as they set the platform for the next batsmen to come. Hazratullah Zazai played a brilliant knock of 44. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Najibullah Zadran’s knocks helped Afghanistan accelerate and reach a big score of 190 runs.
Scotland never looked comfortable while batting. They lost wickets continuously which eventually cost them the match. Mujeeb ur Rahman took 5 wickets for 20 runs and Rashid Khan took 4 wickets for 9 runs. Scotland bundled up for mere 60 runs with 58 balls to spare.
