ATK won their campaign opener against Kerala Blasters by 4-2. East Bengal, on the other hand, drew their game with Jamshedpur FC by 1-1. Though East Bengal side is completely new, but ATK Mohun Bagan will definitely be the favourites.
SC East Bengal’s defensive errors denied them the win and with ATK’s chief marksmen, Roy Krishna, this could be an easy opportunity to penetrate the enemy lines. New signings Hugo Boumous and Liston Colaco played significantly and they can be a threat against East Bengal.
Pritam Kotal, one of ATK Mohun Bagan’s captain this season, said his team should be wary of Croatian striker Antonio Perosevic.
