Krishna and Bose scores for ATK

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: ATK Mohun Bagan started their AFC Cup Group D campaign on a high note as they beat Bengaluru FC by 2-0. ATK are currently leading the group as they outplayed Bengaluru FC at the National Stadium in Male, Maldives, on Wednesday.
ATK were on the top of Bengaluru in all departments. ATK started the attack from the first minute as both the teams looked to score from the first minute. Mohun Bagan’s debutant Deepak Tangri header had just gone wide in the second minute. But it was the start of complete domination of ATK.
ATK scored their first goal just before half time when Hugo Boumous’s corner was headed towards the goal by Subhashis Bose. Roy Krishna, ATK’s top marksman, just nodded the ball obliterating Gurpreet Singh Sandhu any chance of stopping the goal.
ATK doubled the advantage in the second half as Australian striker David Williams received a pass from Boumous from a set-piece on the left flank and sent a low cross for ‘birthday boy’ Bose, whose left-footer shot from the centre of the box found the net.
Bengaluru tried till last minute to get back into the game but Mohun Bagan’s defence denied them. ATK Mohun Bagan will play Maziya Sports and Recreation of Maldives on Saturday.
