KKR rises from the dead to qualify

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: What an end to the group stages of Indian Premier League! Though Kolkata Knight Riders qualified for the playoffs, but it kept them to the edge of their seats till the last ball. Mumbai Indians tried desperately to qualify but the odds were against them.
Mumbai Indians had a tough job for them. They win by atleast 171 runs or restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to 69 runs. Mumbai Indians began their innings like a champion. Ishan Kishan rattled the SRH bowling attack . Ishan scored a brisk 88 off 25 balls. Suryakumar Yadav also played a great innings of 82 off 32 balls. Both of them accelerated the score to 235 runs, the highest in IPL 2021.
Hyderabad started their innings quite magnificently as Jason Roy and Abhishek Sharma scored brilliantly in the first six overs. They lost wickets at regular intervals, choking their chase of 235 runs. Manish Pandey, the captain played a brilliant innings of 69 runs but in vain. SRH eventually lost the game by 42 runs but they also took the defending champions, Mumbai Indians, down with them.
Kolkata Knight Riders set to play the Eliminator against 3rd placed Royal Challengers Bangalore on 11th October on Monday . The match will be played in Sharjah.
