Jaipurhat District Representative: The members of Joypurhat camp of CPC-3 of RAB-5 arrested elder brother Raju Hossain (29) on the charge of killing younger brother Saju (27) in Badalgachi of Naogaon. He was arrested from his house in Dariyapur area of Mathurapur Union of Upazila around 5:30 am on Saturday (December 9). The arrested Raju Hossain is the younger son of Belal Hossain of that village and the elder brother of the deceased Saju Hossain. This information was informed in a press release sent from RAB-5 in the morning. Earlier, Saju was killed by Raju’s brick on December 6.
A press release sent by Jaipurhat RAB-5 camp informed that on the afternoon of December 6, Saju and Raju were turning hay at their house in Dariyapur village of Mathurapur union of Badalgachi upazila. At that time, an argument started between them about buying a motorcycle. At one stage of the argument, Raju threw a brick at the younger brother Saju. Saju was brought to Badalgachi Upazila Health Complex in critical condition and he died, the doctor said. In this incident, a murder case was registered at Badalgachi police station. Later the intelligence team of RAB-5, CPC-3 started monitoring the movement of accused Raju.
Following this, the company captain of the Jaipurhat RAB camp, Major Md. Sheikh Sadiq and Squad Commander Senior ASP. A RAB team led by Rafiqul Islam conducted a special operation in the early hours of Saturday morning.
In the raid, accused Raju was arrested from his house in Dariyapur village. Later, he was handed over to Badalgachi police station in Naogaon to take appropriate legal action, the press release also informed.
