Indian Air Force evacuates 120 Indians

North 24 Parganas (India) correspondent: A happy moment for about 120 Indians, as they landed in Jamnagar Air Base, from Kabul in Afghanistan. They were flown in the C-17 Hercules, a heavy-lift aircraft of Indian Air Force (IAF). Officials, diplomats and security personnel from the embassy were brought back home. It is the second evacuation flight.
On August 16th, another C-17 aircraft have evacuated around 40 people. The two military aircrafts flew into Kabul using the Iranian  airspace. While avoiding the route of the Pakistani airspace. External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar was also involved in hectic discussions. In a series of tweets, Jaishankar said that India is monitoring the situation, on the evacuation of the Indian officials from Kabul.
The US Military have taken control of the security at the airport. S. Jaishankar said that, he is in constant touch with the Sikh and Hindu community leaders in Kabul, adding their welfare will get it’s priority attention.
