ICC T20 World Cup shifts to UAE

BTC News Sports Desk: A major setback has turned into reality and nightmare for BCCI, when ICC decided to shift the T20 World Cup to UAE. The World Cup is set to start from 17th October and final match on 14th November. 16 nations will be participating in the tournament.
BCCI is yet to write to the ICC about shifting the World Cup to UAE. But the extended time given till end of June is coming to an end. ICC has already set the ball rolling in terms of planning the tournament in the Middle East. As per ICC, the first round of T20 World Cup will be split across two groups and will be played in UAE and Oman.
Due to pandemic, the ICC earlier planned to host the 2021 T20 World Cup in India and 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. But due to rise in Civil cases across the country forced the BCCI to halt the IPL midway. This is a major blow for BCCI as they will not be able to host a major ICC tournament in India.
