BTC News Sports Desk: Current leader of World Championship table, Red Bull driver, Max Verstappen, extends his lead even further against seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Max finished first in Austrian Grand Prix, with Valtteri Bottas in second and Lando Norris in third. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth.
Verstappen who started the race in pole position had led the whole race. He also got an extra point for the fastest lap time. Currently his tally is 182 points leading Hamilton by 32 points. In constructor’s standing too, Red Bull Racing Team lead by 44 points to Mercedes. This was Verstappen’s third consecutive wins.
A sea of orange-shirted Dutch fans were overjoyed when their local boy won the race. He took the chequered flag in front of the biggest crowd of the season so far after easing the Covid-19 restrictions. Lewis Hamilton have a tough job to do to have any chance of winning the World Championship Title for the 8th time.
